Follow the same instructions as the paper towel technique. Apply a thin application of paint to your substrate; then place a piece of plastic wrap over it.
Scrunch the plastic wrap with your fingers. The more you move the wrap, the more variety you will get on your surface.
Remove the wrap. Let dry.
Note that the photo on the right, serendipity has played a role. You could actually build a painting around this 'tree.'
